Very nice, David. the B&W processing brings out the texture in the cobblestone andwalls.

I think for me the relevance of B&W is that you notice changes in light that would otherwise be completely ignored in colour. Subtle changes in shadow information that stand out so much more when you take away colour as a distraction. Focusing on subject and light are key to what I'm trying to do from now on.

I agree and I like the way the tones o0f her coat connect you to the wall at the end of the street. It creates a really nice flow through the image I think.

Processing and toning attributes notwithstanding, I see this as a fine image due to the composition.

Thanks. no real processing on this one. Straight forward B&W with red filter to bring out some contrast in the sky and its associated reflections.
