Flowers are not my cup of tea usually, but I like this shot very much, Peter. "Dreamy" is a great adjective to use here. I don't know which is more delicate, the petals or the color palate. Lovely!

I personally like this 'dreamy' capture as it's like soft pastel colours, painterly, I over exposed deliberately for effect.

As Brian has said, flowers are not my flavour, but this is certainly a lovely effect and a desirable photo.
I get this similar dreamy effect when I shoot with the D7000 and the Helios 44-2. The glare gives it a nice contrast in the centre of the frame and naturally produces a dreamy vignette. I only get this when shooting towards a window from inside.

I like it too, very much actually. Love that hint of sharpness on the pink petal and the way the strong colours work with the more pastel tones.

Yes I deliberately focused solely on the pinky/red ish petal with a shallow f/stop, giving a hazy effect. Think I'll eventually go for a 20"x16" print etc.
