Dusted off an ol' Digital

After watching the most recent Snappiness video on the youtube regarding old DSLRs- I decided I had neglected my Konica Minolta 7D long enough, and grabbed the venerable "beercan" 70-210f4 zoom and went to my usual park.

It is amazing to me how many people put too much emphasis on megapixel count for general use. The ol' KM 7D takes really beautiful and sharp pics with it's whopping 6 megapixels.

Anyways, here is a bunch o' photos. Other than a rotate, small crop, or boosting some shadows slightly - I didn't do much to these. Colors are great (KM color science I really like, and oddly when Sony bought Minolta's camera business - they didn't pony up for the color science.)

You should dust off more often.

Nice work Paul. Is the sensor CCD? I brought out my old Olympus C2000Z recently and was impressed with the colour and rendering. There s a lot of discussion about CCD v CMOS at the moment and I can see why. I gather there is a video camera that is still using one for the quality it brings despite its inherent performance drawbacks.
