Ebb & Flow...

One from the other end of the day...there was a "hint" of pink in the sky, but by the time I had set up the camera it had vanished and had, in fact, started to rain...

20 sec exposure with the Jupiter 135mm.

Like this Doug. It does give an impression of a moment in time yet it twenty seconds , which I guess is still a moment but a longish one.

Got my Jupiter 8 out the other day and yet to see the images, must do so I like the lens a lot and hope to pick up the 135 sometime.

Thanks Julian...I find the 135 is never off my camera nowadays...was even contemplating getting another mortgage and buying the Canon 135 L...

Ah yes the Ef 135, of course so much written about it. I have the EF 200mm L which renders a beautiful image. I have seen written it is not a million miles in rendition from the 135mm outside the focal length, so took that as a hint not to get the 135mm. Only thinking last night I must get the 5DMK2 out and get some luscious looks. A shame the LTM Jupiters do not fit with an adapter, or am I misguided there?.

My Jupiter is the old M42 screw thread fitting (came complete with Zenit E camera which was built like a tank).

I use it on my 5D with an adapter...

Dougie.

That makes sense. I know or think the LTM M39 the rear of the lens catches the Mirror which is a shame. Love the Jupiter 8 and the version I have is all black no click on the aperture ring and looks beautiful.

Similar to mine...continous aperture ring to front and 12 blade iris which is almost circular...

Once the hood is screwed on it looks like a Subaru Impreza exhaust....:)

Very different looking Doug. Obviously, well by the marks I'd have thought this one is produced for export to the west.
I love the little thing in the first image it can be seen on the Zorki which is how I found it in a bric brac store, a very similer size to the Olympus 45mm f1.8 which is tiny.

I found a Bakelite hood which suits the lens. So fit that.

This being my latest acquisition, Mamiya 645 1000s, a different bric a brac shop but now feel a touch guilty as it was offered for £45 by the husband he left the shop and twinkled my eyes at the wife , with a few kind words or I hoped and she said yes £35 was fine, at which I asked if she would get told off and being assured not, I took it home.
