Ed From Duluth

Today I spent time with a cyber friend of some 20 years. We met yesterday in Edinburgh, and he'll be leaving tomorrow morning. Ed is from Duluth, Minnesota, and is a commanding lute player, authoritative, while having a great sense of humour. I think these two shots display those qualities.

Must have been so exciting meeting him after 20 years on the net. I met a photographer after 6 years of knowing him online and I was excited.
Two very interesting portraits with a unique feel to them and the concentration in the first image really comes through. I don't know if lutes have frets so maybe not as they are none visible . Without your words, I may not have picked up the sense of humour
I think these would make brilliant, framed prints on the best wall in your house and I also bet he would be very proud to have them on his wall too.

Any man that shares a home town with Bob Dylan is a friend of mine.

Cheers, Tom. He just looked at them and said, "Pity I'm so ugly". I don't think he's into photography. But we had a great time. Today we're heading out to the famous Forth Bridge, so I might well take a camera or two.

Staggeringly good Rob. Love the textures and grain on his face and wall in the first and the sheer feeling in the second. Is there a tiny, tiny bit of detail to be had in the fretboard in the first?
