Edward's Glassy Stare

Edward has portrayed Herr Drosselmayer in our local production of The Nutcracker for the last 4 or 5 years. He's a big lad but a fine dancer and very light on his feet. I shot this image on Dec 10 of last year as Edward was preparing to enter the stage. I used my Oly XA with "Memories" brand 200 ASA film (re-branded Fuji). I think it was the very last image I captured from last year's series of performances. I only re-discovered it this afternoon while searching my files for something else and, now that I see it again for the first time in several months, I like it. I hope you do, too.

I agree with Hamish. It is the combination of the frozen look and the movement that makes it. And that exit sign has proved to be a great element again Brian.

Thanks chaps. You just never know what's going to happen when you shoot hand held in low light, and the exit sign does seem to add something special.
