Fascinating building, Pete. This type of thing makes me want to know more about the architect and his work. (He has a few buildings attributed to him here in the US but nothing close to me unfortunately.

Given that was built for a singular purpose, it is interesting that such a bold design was chosen. It is build on a mound which is the upper part of the structure that contains the spectrometer apparently.
