Just for Show Every muscle in her body constrained

Going through the archives this morning and thought I'd share this one.

A cat had wandered onto the drive and we smooth-talked Sadie into allowing the cat to stay. Sadie's chase gene was highly tuned you know, so this was no easy task. However, her obey gene was dominant, so it was a task that had a reasonable chance of success.

This is Meg doing some smooth-talk. Sadie is obedient (as she always was) but her anxiety is obvious in her eyes. You see her at this moment fighting every canine instinct.

Epilogue: The cat lived with us for a good ten minutes after I took this shot, and although Sadie never did become comfortable with the idea (her eyes betrayed her desires), she allowed the cat to survive unmolested that whole time.

What a dog!

Not having a dog, I might not have noticed the gene war that had broken out within Sadie. Quite a battle! Well spotted, Brian. Fine shot.

I have to agree with Julian this time, although we hardly see eye to eye:rolleyes:
I have a question though. Are you going to get a dog again? I envy all people who are not allergic to them!:(

Excellently explained and picture Brian. Growing up with many dogs and other animals, this rang so true.
Appreciated Julian. Thanks.

Thanks Ivar. To answer your question, no. I don't plan to get another dog.

I can see that look on her face. Funny my dogs love cats. I only have one now since Josephine passed away last summer- Betty. She actually runs things around here.
