Excuse me, what can you sell me for Christmas?

There used to be no Christmas markets in my town, at most a stall selling sweets for children. Today it seems to me that Christmas markets sell a bit of everything, even skulls and Buddhas. At one stall a guy was selling Greenland, the Panama Canal and the whole of Canada, but if you paid off the books he would also sell you Mexico and a piece of Italy. Too bad I didn't have my credit card with me.

Edinburgh has a big Christmas market, mostly foreign professionals selling everything from Turkish pottery to German sausages. I do my best to stay away from it. But yours looks more traditional – at least it seems that way from your selection of photographs – and more fun. On the other hand, I do like Turkish pottery and German sausages!

#1 and #2 are my favs ... Heads-on-a-Pike ... (Ala Count Dracula). I don't remember Christmas Markets out here. We have stands of handmade seasonal stuff which pop up in Flea Markets and Farmer's Markets.

PS- What with the Día de los Muertos skulls? Day of the Dead is celebrated November 1st and 2nd.
