Faded Thistles

These thistles resisted the attentions of the cows all summer and now stand brown and battered against the autumn winds.

Leica M Monochrome + Zeiss 18mm F1:4.0 Distagon M. ISO 320, 1/500s at f14.0. PP in LR / SilverFX 2.

I don't know about you, Pete, but I'm really taken with this monochrome camera. Things look natural.

I'm still getting a feel for it Rob (less than 60 shots so far) but it does produce very film-like raw files. The resolving power is markedly higher than the M9 (and that is pretty damned good) and the flat raw files retain tons of detail. Hopefully I can find time soon to explore it further.
