A lot of fuss was made about the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest in Singapore over the years, however, I had never visited until a Club outing to photograph the current exhibition of Filipino Orchids happened to occur. To be honest I cannot see what the fuss is about, The orchids are splendid, but the cloud Forest is merely a physical construct of engineering prowess and whilst charmingly outfitted with a variety of plant life and an impressive waterfall, it's nothing special. A case of doing it because we can.

I would much rather that, for example, Sentosa Island had been left in it's raw state prior to the introduction of Resorts World and other modern attractions which detract from the natural beauty and peace of the Island. Sentosa is now designed to bilk tourists for as much money as possible before saying goodbye to them, as is most of Singapore including the flower Dome and Cloud Forest.

I decided to go old school on this assignment, and used a film camera to take the pictures.
