Fire, Fire Fire.....

I had a call this morning from DD giving me the heads up about a fire that was being dealt with just outside town.

As an Ex Fire Officer I decided that it would be better for me to visit later as I knew the road would be stuff with muppets and knowing the type of fire it would still hold some interesting shots later, Couldn't leave it too late though as much of the effect I wanted would have gone so I visited this evening.

As expected Access wasn't best so had to make to with getting as close as I could, I would have liked it darker and to be from the other side but hey can't always have what we want...

Have posted this in my 366 but like it enough to post here too...

Pete

lovely captures showing these guys doing as good as job as ever. Do you know what was actually on fire then KK

Daz

Thanks Pete/Daz

Yes Daz, Barn full of Hay, this was a worry to me as it stands right next to the old barn that I visited a while back and took some shots of, wouldn't want that to go up as it would be a sad loss....to me anyway :D

Nice on Kev,
I thought his would of been an interest to you. Not because of you bieng an ex fire officer, but as you said, I do recall you taking photo's of the barn next to the burning hay shelter... and it bieng so close to home :)
I do agree with Pete, Number one does portray that heat very nicely from that image.

I did an absolutley RUBBISH youtube vid of me and my collegue passing the wreckage burning away

Cheers DD you must have been there just before the fire bobbies as I can't see them in the YT Vid..

Na, they were there, they were filling up the tankers and keeping a distance for the mean time.
There was police on the road managing traffic and the fire bobbies kept back ready to attack the fire when it calmed down I should imagine. what would I know . lol

Nope you have it right, resources first, no good running in without having all the kit together but this wasn't going anyway so no risks to personnel or equipment needed.

Indeed, that was my reserved questimate! :D

They were filling from the Croome Hall junction just out of the Pershore boundry.
That Hydrant is SLOW! Used that one once to fill up our tanker, and MY, weren't we there for a long time! lol

Am remembering now, I was photog some artwork this morning at the printers and heard the bob marlies going past at around 11 so that must have been it......Job On!!
