I don't know about anyone else here, but I've loved all things aviation since I was a little thing. So over the years I've taken a number of shots of planes and helicopters, and somehow ended up with more of the latter, so I thought I'd share some of my favorites with you all here, enjoy :)

First up some tough looking military guys:

And now the more friendly mountain-dwelling variety:

Nice Pics Matthew. Recently I went for the first time to a working aircraft museum local to me. It was there that I understood the attraction of the craft and how exiting it must have
been especially in the early pioneering days of flying. I could feel the adrenaline amongst the old guys there working on the craft patching them up ready to give them a fly. Chatting to the
Pilots and engineers it is their life, not a simple hobby. A life that had taken them hold which they were not going to let go of. The stories I was told by old pilots, down to the guys who packed the
parachutes were interesting. I came away with the thought that everything had to work, needed to be exactly as it aught to be or the consequences are problematic to say the least. A good reason for the commitment.

Thanks Julian. Yeah the first three pics were taken at a near by air museums demonstration. The passion of people in the aviation community is pretty cool. Everyone from mechanics to pilots to controllers seem to have their own collection of stories to tell. I've only taken a few flying lessons myself, but it's enough that I can say for sure there's a certain magic in that moment you lift off the ground when you're behind the controls :)

I find that #s 2 and 3 are especially nice, Matthew. I like the colors in these two images as well as the perspective.

Thanks Brian, that airshow was during the summer, and at first I thought the clouds were going to be an inconvenience, but as it turns out I think they certainly helped the atmosphere of those shots.
