Four

Thanks, Pete. I'll settle for three out of four :)

This is the first of my Julian-inspired surrounds. I'm using it as an alternative to a watermark. I know people could easily edit it out, but if they are willing to go to that length for an image they like, then good luck to them!

No.2 for me Rob...but is there any reason you went portrait instead of landscape...???

Borders look good as well...what did you do that in...???

So, Dougie, you like the one Pete is not so keen on. Well then, something for everybody :)

Portrait or landscape...good question. I was using the DP1 Merrill, which is a fixed-lens camera, and was in a confined space. It really was the best available position. I've tried that spot with three or four cameras, with various lenses, and never felt I had the shot I hope to get. It's a little frustrating.

Julian told me how to do the border. I use Elements, but any Photoshop should be able to do it. Go into Image, then Canvas Size. I turn it into inches, and add two inches (Julian, the space junkie, adds four inches). Make sure it is set to White. I then save the image, and then do it all again, but this time adding one millimetre in black. And Bob's yer uncle.

Thanks for that Rob...I'll maybe try it out as it does look quite classy...However, that would mean jumping back and forth between Lightroom and Elements...maybe a bit of research to see if Lightroom can actually do this for me....:-)

Well you know how the song goes - "two out of three ain't bad" so three out of four is 100% by my reckoning..
