Are there compatible lenses for the Fuji Xpro 1?

You can purchase an M mount which allows you to use Zeiss, Leica, Voigtlander and some Ricoh lenses which connect to the electronics of the body or you can get adapters to use other makes of lenses in manual mode.

I did use a cheap but excellent, Chinese Nikon adapter on my Sony Nex but that has just gone in part ex against an X-Pro1 body and as my Nikon lenses and body went when I bought the X-T1, I have stuck to Fuji lenses.

Did you have a particular lens in mind?

i'm thinking of buying a xpro body and it maybe a month or so before i get the lens :) so with that in mind i'd like to bang summin on it to play with it

Davie there are loads of Chinese adapters on Ebay and the like to suit most lenses. They are just lens mount adapters, no contacts whatsoever and you have to go into complete manual mode. I had one for my Nex and a Metabones one for a Lumix G and both worked really well. Except the Chinese one was a quarter of the price and did as good a job.

Ive purchased all all my adapters for under £10 with the exception of an EOS to m4/3 which had a diaphragm . Also they were posted from the uk, I think they are here warehoused from asia, so you get them within the week. I would vouch for them, as I've read plenty from reputable sources that even the expensive top end ones can be misaligned enough for the pixel peeper to notice. It may of course not be the fault of the adaptor as sometimes the camera mount itself can be out.

Davie remember that the X-Pro1 has a non-adjustable evf/ovf dioptre. If you are going to manually focus you might need to change the dioptre.

I received my body today and I am buggered if I can see clearly without my Joe90 reading glasses. You can get + or - strength dioptres to replace the one fitted in the body and I have ordered one off Amazon.

Apart from that it is built like the proverbial s**thouse and IQ is really lovely.

how do you know which one you need then? I wear glasses all the time

The supplied diopter is apparently -1 so I have ordered a +3 as my reading glasses are +2.

I shall try the one on its way and see if it works. If not it can go back and I will probably ask my local optician to put a few test diopters up to the viewfinder and order a different strength.

If you are happy using your glasses with your current cameras then you should be ok. I don't like wearing glasses up to the viewfinder so I am on the diopter holy grail.
