Ghostly Deer

I mentioned that a deer and fawn ran across our lawn the other morning. Although this is quite unusual, they are regular evening visitors. The other night one was round to polish off the uneaten llama food that we left outside the study. She ran over to the path where one of the badgers was eating peanuts, but he made it clear he wasn't going to share! She came back, by which time I had fished out the camera. The light was appalling and I shot this at ISO 4000 through a window that is even worse than the front window.

Oh yes... they are very beautiful, but between them and the badgers, we have no garden left. I found a little oak tree growing in the lawn the other year and I didn't want to throw it away, so I planted it in one of our many containers. The next morning it was gone. My husband checked the CCTV and it was one of the deer coming right up to the back door. The photograph here was taken from less than 20 feet

There are load around Greywell but luckily they cannot get into my garden.
