Love the slight 'looking down' view of this Douglas and the contrast between the rough textures of the foreground slopes and the soft cushion feel of the hills in the background. Is that a little boat moored on the river to the right near the bottom?
Tom, it's actually a rather large boulder which has probably come from the slopes on the right...this is looking "upstream" from the Linn of Avon (pronounced A'an) towards the central Cairngorms.
It takes a keen eye, a bold approach and a certain dash of creativity to manage the image as you have done here. Very good Douglas. Also for explaining
