Hi all,

My friend asked me about vintage photography so im lending him some of my cameras to have fun with, I have secrectly just bought him a Kodak No. 2 autographic folding brownie - think its the UK model so from 1925-26 (still has the stylus!!!), I had to go with the No. 2 rather than the 2A or the No. 0 due to the fact that it uses 120 film.

I have just had a look around on the brownie camera page and it seems that they have a guide to slightly tweek the obsolete 116/616 cameras by using a mask and some spacers. It basically adds a 6x4.5 mask on the film plane and then you can simply use spacers to ensure that the 120 film is central. It seems that the 120 film doesn't need to be tweeked in any way and the numbers on the backing line up perfectly with the viewing section on the 116/616 cameras!

Due to the mask you have to also mask off the view finder, but thats a small price to pay to be able to still shoot the camera - especially as they can be picked up cheaply due to being obsolete. Its also cool that you get 15-16 photos out of a roll, far better than the usual 8, I guess it works like the half frame cameras.

Anyway I thought I would post this up to anyone who is looking for something a bit different to shoot on or indeed wanting to get into some medium format but didn't want to by a 'blad lol
