Found these utterly huge used gun shells in a persons house by luck (don't ask), the taller one on the right stands about four and a half foot tall, all collected from the 1991 War in Duvbrovnik.

I spoke briefly to the house owner but there was a language barrier and she didn't want to dwell on the past it seemed, she lowered her head when I pointed to the gun shells and I briefly spoke about their War of only 22yrs ago, very moving experience indeed.

Each used shell has a tiny letter/number encrypted on them.

Interesting Peter. Until a few weeks ago we had a lady from Bosnia working for us who'd lived through the war. The divisions and problems live on and I can understand that the person you met did not want to discuss it.
