Hello from Brisbane

After being a seven year reader of 35mmc, I recently noticed it had a forum button, I followed through here and read a while, and decided to make an account.

My name is Charlotte and I have been photographing since my childhood, with a longer lapse in my teenage years, trying film photography for the first time at age 18, and now I'm here, age 26.

I've always had a preference for landscape and architecture. I also have an affinity for lo-fi photography.

I've finally started posting some of my work on flickr, I would usually just keep my photos to myself, so I do hope I can show some here from time to time, too.

The feelings of this forum are warm, a preemptive thank you for the clean community you all uphold, and thank you for allowing my membership.

Welcome Charlotte! You will find an eclectic collection of multi-talented individuals here. No shortage of opinions as well. But all in the spirit of helping us improve and expand our craft.

Seconding Rob's words, Best wishes to you. See you around!

Hi Charlotte! Great to have you here. By all means, share as many of your photos as you want. I'm sure they will be well appreciated.

Best wishes to you. See you around!
I appreciate it, I have a tonne of photos I've taken over the years, but I've been making a lot of changes in my life, so I'd like to start fresh and only post new photos, to motivate myself to take more.
A slightly early new years resolution.

Hi Charlotte and welcome.

Thank you to you two as well!

Welcome Charlotte! Just know that you have skewed the age/gender average. ;)

For the latter, that makes sense, although I figured a fair chunk of photography these days did skew younger, I guess my assumptions were wrong!

Happy Holidays Charlotte. I'm waiting for photos from Down-Under.

I don't live anywhere near the desert like many expect of here, so the down-under be pretty typical tropical 🫡

If your definition is limited to cell phone photography that may be true HOWEVER I suspect that the age levels on discussion forums skews significantly older.
