Help with lens - lens doesn't stop down

Hi all,

I have got a Cosina CS-3 which came with a 50mm f1.7 lens, the body is actually really feature packed, slight dent on the top of the pentaprism but it all works fine and has more features than my FM2n, although slower shutter speeds.

Anyway, I was just checking that everything was working and it seems that the lens doesn't stop down, I took the lens off and pressed the lever which should stop the lens down and nothing. I then took the lens mount and the back of the lens off. I can see how it all works but couldn't figure out which part should press on the aperture control. The actual blades move fine and are free if you push the controls manually, but I can't see whats ment to create the linkage to the camera.

I will take a photo tonight but I was just wondering if anyone here had any experience of lenses, the mechanism seems fairly simple, its probably user error lol.
