Spotted this lovely male Cross spider laying in wait within a dandelion head...Ingenious little creatures!

Excellent Peter, especially the first. It just shows how effective their subterfuge is.

On closer inspection this is not a cross spider at all... although still of the Araneidae family, I now think it is Larinioides cornutus
