Just for Show Horns

Nice shot

(Antlers, cough, cough...)

Thank you, and what are antlers made of John?:D
Bone. Horns are keratin - think fingernails and hair. Antlers are shed and regrow every year. Horns grow for the lifetime of the animal. Surely a Viking would know the difference between a horn and an antler. :D

Whether horns or antlers if they are connected to a human head via a metal hat then the owner of the head is a Viking.

Whether its on a Viking or not its a fine image Ivar. The horns are softly rendered and compliment the sun so nicely.

I agree. It is very well done. However, I couldn't let this pass knowing how Ivar feels about horns and Vikings. :)

Thank you Brian for coming to my aid:D as if I needed it:rolleyes: but it is much appreciated and thanks to you and John for finally realising the nicety of my fine attempt of showing "horn" and now I come to the point, horn. In Norwegian, we do not have the word antlers, but as Brian so elegantly puts it, we have horn. But Brian, not on the helmets! Yes the word horn sums up all kind of horns in the viking land.:p No other word for what a bull has, a reindeer or an elk. It is horn. And mind you, where do you think your word "horn" stems from. Like the word, man, glass, milk etc...:D The Vikings!

Yes sadly but true, we have been trough this and as the vikings coming out of Hollywood, you hear everyone, they have horns on their plastic helmets:p
