How do you typically supply pix to your clients?

in terms of a digital file (not prints). time was when most stuff was burned to disc or cd; of course for more 'Press'ing issues I think wiring the pix over the inter webs probably wins out. what about ftp? who uses this and why?

personally I'm just uploading everything to private gallery on my webspace and giving out links with or without download privileges.

I've done dropbox now & then but largely use the webspace.

Usually our images are embedded in a report but when they need a high resolution file (200MB +) we would normally use FTP as many email servers reject files > 25 MB. Some publishers have a separate email address through for large files. I have used a Dropbox account belonging to a customer a couple of times and another similar service. I prefer to use our own FTP server though.

Since the beginning of the digital era, I always asked my clients what format they wanted and how they wanted it delivered. In the early days, if they were unsure, I would check with their printing company.

via dropbox or online gallery with download link. I have an advantage though as I have pretty much as much space on a server as I can use ...
