However stupid this question may be....

I know that you guys from RPF can help.

I have a friend who likes to have on of my shots printed on canvas for his living room wall and he was asking how big of a print size it could be without 'stretching' the shot to loose quality

The shot in question is this

Printing has never been my area of knowledge so, because of how it's been cropped to suit, the full size dimension of the shot is now 3819 x 2162
And the magic question is..... In centimetres (or inches) how big can I go??

You can get away with a LOT of upsizing on canvas!

I'd say 30 inches wide wouldn't be a problem.

Yeah I suppose you could really.... Like I said I haven't a clue when it comes to printing. Lol.
Mind you, I do recall him saying he wants it about a meter wide.
Shouldn't have any problems with then should I?

Is this the one thats going on the Big wanted poster by the Brickies Bridge DD??? cos if so it can go large............ seriously mind agree with DG Canvas is rather forgiving.........

Oh I haven't a clue on the distance there pete, he's moved into a new place I've yet to visit.

Nah Kev, this is going on the wanted list for around the whole of Worcestershire!! :p:p :D:D:D

Then as long as tit doesn't turn out like one of ITN CCTV grabs you'll be ok and should even get a quid or two for it unless the buyer is greek.......then I'd be asking for a deposit:D:D:D

Speak to Joan, she will print it for you, but will also tell you exactly how to send it to her in the best possible format ... Knowing her she will also do her upmost to make it look as good as possible!

I love that shot, Dan. I remember when you first posted it. I think I responded that I considered this image to be art. I still do. Its nae wunder yer pal wants tae hang it!
