I may bore you

with these few images, but I take my chances. As a little boy with a new little toy, I walked about in our garden this morning with the Pentax K30 and an old Sigma lens 70 - 210. In full format it extends to popularly said; 105 - 315 approx. Now I wanted to see how good the lens is, how soft and also the DOF. While I'm waiting for my 70mm-2,4 ltd pancake. I am in no doubt about the camera. Top of the pops. So here goes.

Well, old lenses seem to do the works too.

The fact is--and it's something I'm not particularly proud of:(--photos of flowers usually don't interest me at all. However, I like this set very much, Ivar. That lens isn't bad at all. Top of the Pops camera/lens combo if you ask me.

Thank you Brian, I appreciate your frankness which is genuine to me since one may avoid to comment in cases as this. I like flowers but as a subject of test, they do fine in regard to photography. Normally I do not do that kind of documentation. But the camera is small, the lens is quite small and the combination is quite good. Pentax has a marvelous portrait lens as well as capable of other genres, a 70mm/2,4 that I shall be buying in due time and use more. As they say;" Less is mo re.";)

A grand bunch of flowers Ivar and all these results look really good.
I'm not a flowerpot man either but I really like the second shot here. I think it is a great composition and a welcome departure from the norm.

Thank you Tom, I tried tol make an unconventional twist to it so as not bore too many. I can assure you that the k30 is good in all respects. Hope everything speeds up. Cheers.
