Earlier in the day he and his partner in mayhem, Ruby, had taken off after an armadillo. The armadillo very cleverly led them through a large patch of catcus bushes and thorns. I spent most of the rest of that afternoon removing cactus needles from various parts of them. When we returned that evening Stanley immediately made a bee line for something rustling in the bushes on the other side of the creek. After a substantial amount of hollering/screaming/yelling/ululating..he realized he maybe ought to come back. He did decide he would stay on the other side of the creek.
