It's still about 40 deg lower than normal this morning...but the lower tides do break up the ice from last night...

Fantastic, Glenn. Hard to tell the scale. For instance, the first could be shot from space. The second could be from a rover on some distant planet. Great stuff.
I must admit Glenn that I may not have worked out that this was ice without the title and you mentioning it. But that's neither here nor there because I think you have two excellent and very interesting abstracts here and the fun for me would have been trying to work them out. I also think that these images stand up to repeated viewing.
the second one has some great patterns and textures. i think the light and shadows help to give it a 3d look whereas the first one is also nice, but looks very flat.

Thanks everyone. Like most everyone...I'm getting a little tired of this crazy weather so I set out today to find something different. All I found was ice...so I tried to make the best of it. I'm sure spring will show up sometime.
