Thank you, Chris. Yes, the shadow somehow suggests a wing, but then I also liked the co-presence of the mark on the neck with the municipality's mark on top of the metal frame. These annual celebrations of the city's patron saint are interesting from an ‘anthropological’ point of view because of the variety of people who come to the city from various parts of Italy, each bringing their own cultural identity with them, their own stories and logos.
