Identifying Moire In Photographs of Clothing

No, but the X-Pro1 is also a camera without an AA filter—which is more than on the mind, and it has been ordered. Reading the mindless rants around the InterWebs about the D800E and moiré issues, brought to mind the old Dean Martin song, and I grinned and changed it into a bit of contemporary doggerel, hopefully amusing those who remember "That's amore". Puns are my mortal sins.

At this point, I have no spot in my workflow for the D800. Were an art-dealer to walk into my life—a dealer with very large walls, and a clientele with enormously deep pockets—a D800 and a nice big Epson pro-printer would be acquired in a nonce, as you Brits were once wont to say—along with large rolls of fine paper and gallons of ink. While I nod with a degree of respect at "Art for art's sake"; "Anything worth doing well, is worth doing for money" tends to resonate to a much higher decibel level with distortion too low to measure.

Nice to know that the D800(E) is there if I need it, but it is not currently on my shopping list.

Ah yeah, id forgotten the x1pro was AA filter free too!
I haven't looked into, but can imagine the chatter about the d800e ...

I gave up reading after I saw a few comments that made me laugh ...
one was along the lines of "So they are charging more for a camera with the filter taken off"

I found it funny and it wasn't just because I've had some wine.

Just one thing Larry, if you are talking to Brits try avoiding the word "nonce" you'll probably get a few strange looks. It is slang for a type of person that is best not mentioned here.
