ILFORD SFX and Dunkeld

Rob MacKillop

Edinburgh Correspondent
All shot with the Konica Hexar, and a 35mm roll of Ilford's SFX film, with an orange filter on the lens.
In no particular order:

1. Birnam Bridge, with Birnam Wood (mentioned in MacBeth) in the background:

2. Very clear water - about three foot deep. River Tay:

3. Fishing Station. Notice the slots in the wooden stand, for the fishing rods to rest on. Prime salmon fishing area.

4. On The Hermitage Walk. I have a similar shot with the DP0 Quattro, but marginally prefer this one:

5. Rhona getting serious with a pinhole camera. Still awaiting the results from ag photographic:

6. Tay View:

Lovely set Rob. The tree in River stood out as did the last one. The clear water fooled me for a while, super clear water it is. The action of Rhona and the camera works well as part of the set connecting the human presence to such a place as the River Tay.
As a teenager I'd been down the Tay in a ship delivering rolled steel to Perth destined for a car factory. Much prettier up stream where you took these.

Cheers, John. Cheers, Julian.

Yes, the Tay is a long and varied river, some beautiful parts, some not so. I need to go back in Autumn for some glorious colours.

All these off a single roll?! What a yield! (I'm happy if I get one or two keepers of a roll!) I love Tree in River, as well as the Hermitage walk. Tree in River is the standout for me, though. Great stuff Rob!
