...however, for $300 this camera is stuck in my brain. I went and handled it today. It would probably clean up but it's not clear that the lens is OK (it is listed for parts only). The description says that the leatherette has come completely off however it seems attached although it doesn't mate up correctly with the lens.
Later EDIT - despite the fact that it is local, after looking at eBay, it seems that for a little more there are better examples (little being relative).

Even if I would never shoot it, there are cleaner examples: that have complete leatherette, no chip on the viewfinder and most of all: a lens that didn't bite the pavement. I've decided to pass on this one. They don't negotiate price since 99% of what they have is consignment. I'd probably pay $200 for it...
