I'm seething!

I paid $300 that I couldn't afford to the IPA for this year's competition. Because I don't buy anything else, my bank thought the payment was fraudulent and rejected. I rang them and they told me I had to try again, but the online system was now telling me I owed nothing. Chris told me how to pay by Paypal, which I did on 15th May, giving the entry numbers in the description. I asked for confirmation which I didn't get, so I e-mailed them a few days later and someone said it was OK. I've just had an e-mail picking up the first rejection and saying I have until tomorrow to pay or my entries won't go through.

I've found the payment details at work and replied, but now I'm worried sick. There is a number to ring, but that is obviously going to cost me a fortune on top of the entry fees [banghead]

Maybe I'm being oversensitive, but having tried to justify this, I don't see why I should have to. I can't afford equipment and it's one of the few things I can look forward to. I won a free competition, got treated like dirt and I won't do it again. I've been picked on at work today and frankly I don't need it anywhere else...

maybe instead of trying to enter competitions where you have to pay, you should try getting published and maybe get paid. you make wonderful photographs and i don't think you need to pay someone for the chance to be told that. $300 is a good deal of money that could be used on your trip or gear.
