Impenetrable

Another from the session this evening. No movement, just a shaft of evening sun.

Very filmic image from the Blad. Love it. Did you burn the blades of grass to the right of the lower trunk? Or is that the sunlight? Very nice image.

That's a great shot, I love how the white and black tree stands out even though the background has so much detail in it. It reminds me of something I can't quite put my finger on either an etching or a Victorian illustration or something. You can tell who's studied art history here, can't you :-)

Nice one Pete.
That looks very inviting to walk through. Especially in the dark! Lol.
Without sounding creepy, when I go out for a photog/walk at rediculous times at night, I find myself wondering through the nearby woods with my earphones in on full blast and a torch. It's quite a hair raising walk yet, surprisingly easy to accomplish and becomes easier through time. It's like overcoming a fear in which I didn't have, but also exciting when I see a flicker of something in the corner of my eye presuming it's the good old local wildlife ,'/
My wife says I'm absolutely bonkers in which I can't disagree. But then again, her TV consists of regular viewings of CSI and the rest of that crud.
Me, I confront what people are afraid of... On my own.
And this shot represents what it is that challenges me to gander myself through.
Absolutey Brilliant Pete! This has a meaning to me in which you may not of intended, but very greatful for sharing it!

Has anyone been to the Forest of Dean? There's a place called 'Puzzle Wood'
It's one of my favourite top 5 places to be in, in the U.K.

Here's a couple of examples off Flickr

Thanks Dan. I do like the mystery that light creates in dense woodland where details become suddenly highlighted so I can sort of see the attraction of your nocturnal wanderings (where are the pictures though?!). I haven't been to the Forest of Dean for ages and must take a trip there soon though.
