I like what you've done, here, Kev. The close -in images bring a different perspective for museum shots.

By the way, have you ever visited the National Army Museum? That's the one I really want to go to someday. Many years ago I saw a book in a used book store. The title on the spine was "The 600." And I thought, I wonder if that's about the charge of the Light Brigade? Sure enough it was. I devoured that book quickly and soon I found myself soaking up everything I could find about the Crimean War. Anyway, in the National Army Museum they have on display (I believe) the original order, written in pencil on a scrap of paper which was carried hurriedly by a certain impetuous Captain Nolan to a haughty Lord Cardigan, commander of the Light Brigade, which initiated the ill-fated charge. I'd love to see it.

Thanks Brian. No never been, I'm just treading the museum paths again and hoping to take in more over the coming months, both local and national, hoping to get a trip over to Normandy next year and the battle fields etc too.
There were many exhibits at the IWM that just couldn't be photographed due to poor lighting and glass cabinets and oh yea people and the Holcaust exhibits were NO Photo areas...
As you know I like Tanks too and I hear Bovington ....The Tank Museum....calling me

Have visited iwm many times and have many photographs from there. This is a nice selection of closeups Kev and you're right, it is well worth a visit especially if you carry a camera with you.
