Improvement?

I had a print made of the original. After seeing it lying on a table upside down, it struck me as more intriguing. In the digital dark room I turned it upside down and took out the statue, which looked distracting. Happy with the slightly mad result!

The original was very good indeed. This is on another level. The signs are still there that this is an inverted reflection, yet more subtle. There's much more of a surreal, other-worldly feel to this, as if the viewer is at the bottom of some strange canyon, looking up. The perfectly silhouetted, sinister figure with the air literally shimmering with some strange radiation, draws the eye straight in, with all the other elements helping to frame/direct one's attention to The Dark One. Love it. I have the sudden urge to turn 'n' run, though 😵‍💫😏

Lol. I wouldn’t blame you for running, Ralph.

I’m really fascinated by the inverted image, but the guy putting tiled flooring in our bathroom took one look at it on my big iMac screen, and said “That’s upside down!” He thinks I’m crazy. Well, I’ll admit to being a bit crazy, but not totally. 🤣

Definitely an intriguing image, Rob. I recall seeing the first version on another platform but didn't get the chance to respond due to circumstances. However this version is better!

I agree, Brian. I posted a bunch of images onto FaceBook from the first roll with the Pentax 17. The original of this was one of them. I’m glad I got it printed, as it was only then that I accidentally saw the possibilities. Glad you like it!

I shall have to investigate. I have my suspicions.
