Critique Welcomed In Low Light with the DP1 MacKillop

And quite a striking result it gave. I like the serious looks and partially obscured faces. Adds mystery.
Thanks Pete. I posted it as is because I find the B&W low light results from the DP1 M appealing, and this contrasts starkly with the camera's reputation for low light imagery.

Excellent image Brian. Like the out of sequence person from the line.
I simply love the Dp's B+W output although I have not shot a jpeg yet, maybe I'll try sometime. Reputations of the Sigma or any camera maker is fickle among certain tribes, with simply a brand being an appendix to a life style or a a set of figures from DXO which have no correlation to the real life capabilities.
Sadly I read these poor reviews for years before deciding to get a Dp camera, otherwise I'd have had more enjoyment earlier than I did.

I used to do b&w jpegs with that camera too. Works fine. This is a great image, Brian. It leaves us wondering what they are all looking at or listening to, and I also like the fact that one woman is out of line with the rest.

Certainly an image to get you thinking Brian...do I assume this was taken as a B&W image in the camera...?

Thanks Julian. I enjoyed your work and Rob's with the Merrills and both of you got me thinking that if I were to buy a dij camera this should be the one. Then Rob offered this one up. I haven't been disappointed. I am continually impressed by the way its meter interprets light and renders images.

Aren't they normally Rob? Albeit I would not say which side is the best one though! Very well done Scotty.
