In the Carpathians

Spent a day in this beautiful place, somewhere in the Carpathians, near the border with Ukraine. The inn, situated outside of any community nearby, is a traditional construction, wood all over. The manner and fashion of the buildings are medieval, copied after a XVII-th century style.

I really like the framing on the first shot (although I would probably have tried having the roof line more towards horizontal or at least split the difference with the near vertical tree).

True, but that was the only place from where the houses could be seen and lined up as they are un the photo. Thank you !

looks cold, but i like the old wood houses in the snow. i really like the third one with the trees.
