iPhone-ography...

Out today with the good lady in the East Neuk of Fife, taking some shots with the the 135mm...

Observing a good number of people using their mobile phones to take images, I thought I'd give it a bash...

I don't get it though...holding the item up in front of you, peering through the glare and seeing nothing on the back of the screen, it seems like pot luck whether a decent capture is achieved or, as I found, not....

Almost like using film maybe...

Here's the only real useable shot...square format, but not of my choice...must've tapped the wrong buttons on the phone...suppose I'm fortunate it didn't end up a movie file instead....

Your title scared me for a second. I thought it might be the beginning of the end for RPF.

Arms length? You mean you don't have a selfie stick? How can anyone take photos without a selfie stick?

I believe some phones are quite good Rob, but personally I prefer looking through a viewfinder...

I struggle using cameras/phones with only the screen for reference, which in honesty is a failure of my eyesight rather than the technology...

Phones are amazing pieces of kit, they have cameras that have a certain 'feel' to them almost unachievable with any other format .... of course I have to say that as i'm an award winner with my iphone :D
