My wife asked what I wanted for my Birthday, I kept saying a Cannon 5D Mk III. so I got a shirt and sweater . . . . . .

So needing the extra resolution I made a sideways decision and went for this instead:

With a Quarter plate Houghton Victo sat on it :D

It's an un-named 12"x10" camera, needs some slight restoration, a new focus screen. lens board and repairs to the moldy bellows. I have 3 or 4 DDS just need to get some film. I'll look for a lens for it although I've a 12" Dagor that covers 12x10.

I also picked up an almost mint 120mm f6.8 Dagor and tested it over the weekend (on a DSLR) and found it remarkably flare free unlike most un-coated lenses. It's a tiny lens and covers 7x5 at f45, made 1911/12 the shutter is remarkably smooth and accurate.

This is with the 120mm Dagor at full aperture f6.8 (cropped heavily by the EOS 50D sensor:

In comparison a 165mm f5.3 CZJ un-coated Tessar.

So an interesting few days :)

...and does it compliment the shirt?

No

However the 12"x10" camera is almost restored now, what were described as rips in the bellows were in fact where the bellows had come apart, so now re-glued. I made a new brass part to lock the front standard in place and soldered the old and new (on either side) in place to give a more secure fit, there's cherry wood veneer on its way for a lens board and the glass is cut for the focus screen.

The idea is to use it with Harman Direct Positive paper.
