I tend to shy away from portraits and being up close with people when I have a camera in hand. I opt more for landscapes and somewhat street shots and some of my dogs and cats. But this makes me want to try more.
The joy I've found in film is a meditative process, slowing down to take the shot, trying not to waste anything, praying the camera almost my age remembers how to function, squeezing the shutter and hoping.... And then seeing it developed weeks, or months, later and maybe remembering specific moments from that day, but sometimes like this shot not even remembering taking it and being proud of a split second that I can't remember, but have proof of.
