K1000 plus wide-angle lens

Pentax K1000 and Sun 28mm lens (£20 off ebay). You've seen a few images of this area from me. I think the best were with the Mamiya RB67. Fuji C200 film. The results were a little dead, lifeless, so I ran them through the bi-colour filter of Nik Colour, or in one case, Nik Silver.

I like #1 best. The wee burdies in the watter gie it an especially pastoral feel and their whiteness is delightful contrast.

Thanks, Beth. I do like the combo of film and digital editing.

Thanks, Brian. One of the burdies is a white paint pot...far right ;)

So, are you telling us that those poor birds were once brown and you painted them white just to get the shot?! Glen'll be on to you! ;)

These are wonderful Rob and the PP works very well indeed. That first one certainly has the most immediate impact and is a stunner. But I also think the B&W version would come into its own printed large.

Thanks, Pete. Nothing wrong with painting birds, surely? They were only too happy to take part in an artistic endeavour. One of them said he used to work for a guy called Chris...but he was treated badly, never got paid. Now he demands money up front. It's the way of the world.

I really like the way these have turned out. I've been doing a lot of mean and moody, dark shots of late - nice to see some colour and sunshine popping up.
