"On January 29th 2020, our staff treated the first confirmed case of Covid-19 in the UK. In the next two years, 150,000 contracted the disease in our community.
Sadly, there are many who are no longer with us and dearly missed by their families. They are remembered by us all".

I took this one just a little earlier than the image above.
I like the way it hints at how we were all trying to look out for each other during those horrible times.

Not everyone was. There were plenty of selfish people who just ignored all the rules, claiming they were restrictions on the rights to be a free agent. I remember it as a very divisive time. But thankfully they weren’t all like that, and, yes, your picture does bring that out.

Both superbly effective images I think, Chris. And I agree about the way they reflect the recent past. The first has both perfect balance and conveys the message / comment very well I think. The second is more subtle though and I see an interesting contrast between the sombre healthcare worker and the clown-like character in the other wall painting, but rather than comedic or menacing, it seems to be vacant somehow, maybe bereft of hope even.

And I can only assume these were taken before your morning break, as coffee seems to be a strong element in them (or is that just the power of modern advertising?!). ;)
