Komura 135mm f2.8

Charity Shopping again. I wish to ask is about a lens I picked up. The Komura 135mm f2.8. Clean as a whistle other than external dust. I have not got a clue as to the mount and what adapter to buy. I know they came in various mounts, earlier ones in ltm and M42 and various mounts after. Can anyone see from the images if this is a Exakta mount? Do I need a T screw Mount? Or am I barking up the wrong tree altogether. Many thanks.

Whenever someone says "Sankyo" i say welcome :p

I guess there's no writing on the other side of the base ring.
I did once get a Steinheil in Exakta by mistake, this does i think look like the straightforward Exakta mount.

Exakta has a locking pin at about 300 degrees ... Mine does anyway...

The mount looks a bit wide on yours ... ?

can you take a photo of it face on?

... Maybe it doesn't looking again...
Dunno, pic straight on would def help

Hamish it does look different from your photo. The diameter of the inner mount is 41mm or there about, measured with a tape ruler. The fitting diameter is quite a bit smaller than an OM mount. Interesting the lens today unscrewed in half as in the last picture. This seems very handy for easy access to clean the lenses. If you notice in the second to last image with the lens split ,there is a scratched marking, 49.It may well refer to the thread? This appears professionally put there by the maker.

Aha! When I bought my 1940 Leica IIIb off eBay, I was given a Komura 105mm to go with it. I think Hamish agreed mine was made in the mid 1960s, but I'm not technical enough to understand the other stuff. If I can help at all, just let me know what I can do :)
Thanks Lesley.

Nikon non-ai????
ID this mount? - Rangefinderforum.com

If we can't find an answer you are welcome to post it to me to try on a few things ... I have two Nikon non-ai cameras on my desk I can try it on :)

Thanks Hamish and Pete. I shall keep and eye on the other forum and also follow up the links from you both. I could send it Hamish but the cost of post would be several hundred percent greater than it cost which was £1. I did notice on e-bay they where going for considerably more though.
Why I ended up with this lens was, when purchasing the FED - 4 they took out the film that was in it and also unbeknown through away the metal cassette to roll the film onto, which is part of the camera. I returned the next day having noticed this, we rummaged through old bin bags and thankfully retrieved the cassette. Anyway chatting to a chappy there about photography, he offered me a Sigma 70-210mm f1.8 Nikon mount lens. Plus what he thought was a quality enlarger lens, M39 fit. I do wonder if the enlarger lens will work as a practical lens on a camera or will it not focus to infinity. Or a bad idea altogether?

Been looking at the AI and AI-s Nikon mount. It looks so much like the AI mount. If anyone had this mount at hand and could confirm the diameter of the inner lens mount to be 41mm, would be most helpful?

Pete will kick him self too no doubt... im pretty certain its Nikon mount, it just doesn't have the aperture couple or meter couple

I have heard of people mounting enlarger lenes, I briefly looked into it my self, I have no idea what the flange back/back focal length would be ... there would be no way to focus one without some sort of helicoid adapter or bellows ...
Would be fun to try though ... and has got me thinking a bit ... i have an very old looking corfield enlarger lens at home somewhere i think :)

It does indeed look like one. I was even looking at the back of the Makro Planar yesterday to see how closely it matched! However, unlike Hamish, I have little experience of other systems. Can you ask at the camera shot to see if it mounts on a Nikon body?

Our local shop often has second hand Nikon's for sale. So yes can try it out to make sure before buying an adapter.

Thanks Hamish 41 is it then.

... just beware, by the sounds of what the chap on RFF says it will only mount on very early nikon bodies
This in sits self might impact on the type of adapter you need to buy

Yes I did realise that and thanks. Although not having a lot of knowledge of what old lenses fit which old and new bodies is not always straight forward. Hoping the adapter wont be to much of a cost so a smallish risk.

You might be able to hack the lens a bit with a dremel or somthing too if that overhang is a problem ...
there is mention on RFF that the mount might unscrew to a t2 ... Have you tried?

Yes tried to unscrew the mount as mentioned elsewhere. That is when i found the lens unscrews in half. But seems not to where it would reveal a T mount. If that makes sense.
