Lady In Red and Greenhouse

Love it Rob. Both for the muted colours and the texture created by the water drops on the glass.

Have you ever come across cross-processing? I think you'd like the effects that can be achieved either by digital simulation or 'the real thing'.

For PS look at Photokit Color 2 from Pixel Genius (PixelGenius - PhotoKit Color)
For PS and LR look at Nik Software (https://www.niksoftware.com/site/)
For LR4 keep an eye on Presets Heaven for Cross-Process presets.

Here's an example of a C41 to E6 cross-process on your image (hope you don't mind). This simulates developing colour print film in chemistry designed for slide film (with a yellow filter at the printing stage in this case).

Wow, Pete, that has really made it! I love it now. The tree looks wonderful, and the lady is more pronounced. I don't know how you did it, but from now on you are my PP guy - I'll send ALL my photos to you :D

Really, it has transformed the image. Please tell me how you did it. Maybe you have done so already, but I don't quite follow what you said above.

Hi Rob, I used the Cross Process module in Nik ColorFX 4 (unfortunately CP is only in the complete version). However, I also really like the Pixel Genius set and used to use that all the time. It also has a whole bunch of other excellent picture control options. You could probably work out a set of conditions in LR that gives a similar simulation by shifting the colour sliders and pushing the contrast up. There were some free pre-sets for LR3 but I'm nor sure if they can be imported in LR4.
