light leak or idiot loading the film?

i recently ran the first roll of film through an olympus 35-sp. i used cinestill 800, which clearly says to load in a dark room, a direction which i promptly ignored. the roll came back with some bright red streaks through it. the photos were out of order so i went back to the negatives to see what order they were shot in. 5 of the first 6 photos have the red streak in them, with the worst streak occurring on the first photo and gradually going away by the 6th. so i think it might be a user error rather than a light leak, but i'm going to run a roll of ektar through next to make sure.

My guess also in those circumstances would be er, "person" loading the film.

They make something foolproof and then someone creates a better idiot.

Although I don't think your an idiot Beth, just someone who didn't heed the instructions.
