Thanks, Rob. Yes, the 6D is a digital camera. Its a full-frame camera. (I also have had for some years a 7D, which is a cropped sensor camera.) This particular image was originally underexposed due to the strong backlighting. I pumped up exposure and shadows in Lightroom and I was delighted how this one turned out. To me it is almost as if I had used flash for fill light. Thanks again, Rob.Interesting girl. But this looks different from your other shots, Brian. Not sure what it is. The colours, the clarity of the light. Is the Canon 6D a digital camera? Almost looks HiDef, just a wee bit.
Yes, Julian. The camera is new to me. So is the lens. (Canon is currently offering a $50 rebate and the local camera shop was having a "no tax" sale weekend so the lens was $149.99 out the door, which I thought was a decent bargain. Similar situation with the camera: Rebate of $300 plus no tax and free shipping from B&H in New York. Plus B&H provided a spare battery, a nice Canon bag, a 16 GB storage card and a nice monopod as part of the deal.) I needed another lens because the AF failed on my Canon 50/1.4 so now it is a manual focus only lens, which is a pisser I can tell you! It seems that 50/1.4 is susceptible to AF failure. A design flaw I have gathered after reading up on it. So far I quite like 40/2.8. It is one of those "pancake" designs which makes it very small and light. The 6D is relatively small too by Canon FF DSLR standards, so it's quite a nice combo.@Rob MacKillop Yes the 6D is a full frame Canon which came out a while ago.
Brian I also took note of the camera. Is it new to you? although I was aware you had some canon gear previously. Ive also looked online at the lens, not bad by all accounts and considering it is only £130 here. Canon it seems came up with another nifty , this time the nifty forty.
I think she noticed you though and her stalker
Thanks, Pete. Yeah, these things blow my mind, too. I put it down to the impetuousness of youth. The choices some people make for such permanent adornments baffles me at times! A fine shot though, with a nice flow.
if that baffles you, you should see some of mine lololThe choices some people make for such permanent adornments baffles me at times! A fine shot though, with a nice flow.
C'mon, Ivar,...stop joking around and be serious for a minute. An inteteresting image and very well performed and a nice combo. I just got back my "old " Panasonic G3 with a 20mm, (FF 40mm ) lens, and that's tiny, and no one takes me seriously. Come to think of it, no one does no matter what
There you see.C'mon, Ivar,...stop joking around and be serious for a minute.
