Critique Welcomed Locomotive 890 At Union Station

A Metrolink train at Los Angeles' Union Station. I will soon board it and be delivered south.

Follow-up about the building in the background: that is the LA County Transportation
Authority building. To me it looks older than it is; it was built in 1995.

I like how the locomotive is housed between the two diagonal shapes of the train station. The bulk of the building behind seems to be keeping an eye on whats going on. The four main elements sit nicely against the blue sky. A very unusual composition but it works brilliantly.

Well seen Brian and the shapes that have been produced make for a unique and strong image. The architecture of the building does look older, cannot quite think of the era, but certainly someone looking back rather than forward. It is ok though.

Thank you, Ivar. I was quite surprised to learn the building was less than 20 years old. However, in looking at images of it on the web it looks much more modern than what this detail suggests. Thanks again, Ivar.
