Logan Pass, Montana

The Bearhat Mountain shots are incredible - looks like a Mayan temple

I was thinking that too when I was there. It is interesting that the Blackfeet had many places of "power" in these mountains and many were considered sacred places. The felt a deep sense of loss when they sold the land the government for the park. Chief Mountain along the easterly boundary of the park and the Blackfoot Reservation is one such place. I'm glad the tribe did sell the land for a park as so many people have and do enjoy it. If it had remained reservation land few people would have ever had the chance to see it. I've worked on several reservations and many have wonderful places that no one ever sees.
