Critique Welcomed Long Beach On The Horizon

I shot this image several years ago with my old Voigtlander Bessa and Kodak Tri-X film. (The Bessa yields eight 6x9 images on 120 film.)

I thought maybe I had posted this before but I couldn't find it. (I searched under "Seal Beach", because that was where I snapped the picture from, and it didn't turn up, but as I am writing this it occurs that perhaps I should have searched under "Long Beach." Oh well,...no going back now even if I did post it previously.)

The camera has a light leak, which is what caused the odd effect on the left of the image.

I processed this, as usual, in Rodinal developer.

it's new to me. love the silhouetted lifeguard hut and sunrays coming down. those lifeguards must be something special out there in long beach. the cityscape on the horizon is pretty sweet too.
Thanks a lot, Beth. Now that I think about it, I believe I used PS to remove a post or something that was in the foreground.

Did someone mention beer?!

Don't remember seeing this one before Brian and I'm pretty sure I have remembered it and not just 'cos the horizon's straight! ;) ). I love that narrow band of detail above the dark beach and biblical sky. Super stuff. :)
I'm relieved about the horizon. ;)

Thanks, Pete. Much appreciated.
